Shocked by Shorty assault
I was shocked by the scene of Finn assaulting Esther at the end of the Shortland Street episode screened on Monday, June 11. It is likely their marriage will not last and she would have been better off with Curtis (played by Jayden Daniels). But I also want to say well done to Ngahuia Piripi (Esther) and Lukas Whiting (Finn) for having portrayed what would have been a rather difficult scene to film. Finn has lost his temper before, but this time by resorting to violence he went too far and, hopefully, he gets the help he needs. What he also needs is to attend anger management.
Addicted To Shortland Street (Kapiti Coast) I was very surprised that when Julia died in Shortland Street her family of professional doctors and nurses never suggested her body be used for transplants. This would have been a good opportunity to promote donors when someone dies. It was not even discussed.
