Respect needed in relationships

The TV Guide - - MR TELLY -

When watching Married At First Sight NZ (was Three), I felt increasingly intolerant and frustrated. These people are looking to establish a relationship but with so many of them it’s “I want”, “Please me”, “Give me”, “I need”, “You should”,“You don’t” and “You aren’t”. Relationships are built by considering the needs of the other person, respecting their feelings and supporting one another. Some of the couples demonstrated very little of that.

I think there is an old saying about something you hate and finish up liking and that’s my reaction having watched Married At First Sight NZ. I hated it, but loved it. I can only say having celebrated 54 years of married life, the majority of candidates were so ill-matched.
