BBC se­cures rights to What We Do In The Shad­ows series

The BBC has se­cured the rights to air a 10-part spin-off series based on pop­u­lar Kiwi mock­u­men­tary What We Do In The Shad­ows. The new series, of the same name, will shift from New Zealand to New York and fea­tures new cast mem­bers in­clud­ing Matt Berry, Kay­van No­vak, Nata­sia Demetriou and Har­vey Guillen. Flight Of The Con­chords star Je­maine Cle­ment and Thor: Rag­narok di­rec­tor Taika Waititi, who wrote, di­rected and starred in the orig­i­nal 2014 film, will have ex­ec­u­tive pro­ducer roles. What We Do In The Shad­ows sea­son one will air in the US next year. A New Zealand re­lease date has not yet been an­nounced.
