TAB HUNTER:

American actor and singer (left, pictured with Natalie Wood) who became a Hollywood heartthrob renowned for his golden blond Californian surfer-boy looks. He starred in movies including Far Cry (1955) and The Life And Times Of Judge Roy Bean (1972) and his song Young Love was one of the biggest hits of the rock’n’roll era. Despite an apparent romance with co-star Natalie Wood, Hunter was gay and had secret long-term relationships with actor Anthony Perkins and figure-skater Ronnie Robertson, before marrying his partner of more than 35 years, film producer Allan Glaser. Died July 8, aged 86.
