Roger Federer

-

Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic have staggering records at the Australian Open. Each player has won the men’s singles title on six occasions, to sit at the top of the all-time record list alongside Australian Roy Emerson, who also won six titles between 1961 and 1967, in the amateur tennis era.

Federer, who has won the past two Australian Open crowns, won his first title 15 years ago in 2004. He won back-to-back titles in 2006-07 before adding another in 2010.

Novak Djokovic achieved his six titles in a blitz of top-class tennis from 2008 to 2016.

Federer leads the all-time list of grand slam men’s singles titles with 20 (ahead of Rafael Nadal on 17 and Djokovic on 14).

But whether, at the age of 37, the seemingly indefatigable Federer can add to that list again this year, remains to be seen.
