NEW TV SERIES ON DVD
The Ghan: The Full Journey
Slow TV is catching on quickly. It started in Norway with a four-hour programme about a log burning, and Australia’s foray into the genre takes viewers on a
real-time journey along the 2979km Ghan train journey from Adelaide to Darwin. The original three-hour TV show was a huge hit and this is the full 17-hour, seven-disc version of the whole
trip, omitting just the night-time footage. Far more interesting than it sounds. See story p6 for Go South, a New Zealand documentary that was filmed along the lines of Slow TV.
