An age-old story
I have just read the letter from Yvonne of Wellington (Mr Telly, June 6-12) about over 70s. I, too, was very upset with the way we were treated – to stay home and not go to the supermarket. I, like her, went and I agree with everything she said. I am a very healthy person for my age. I simply hate that word ‘elderly’. The people who should have stayed home are people with bad health problems. Please, younger people, don’t treat us like we are stupid. We are older, that’s all. One day you will be too.
