The TV Guide

Left cut short

- Barry Miller (New Plymouth)

We are writing in reference to a letter published in TV Guide (April 24-30) in which Lyn Armstrong of Christchurch commented about what an excellent drama The Undoing was, which was screened on Prime over three nights on April 2-4. We totally agree with all her comments and, like Lyn, we recorded the three episodes too, but to our utter disappointment our recorder stopped recording just before the end of the final episode. We were sitting on the edge of our seats as father and son sped down the highway with police cars and a helicopter in full pursuit, and for us that was it. What we would like to know is are we the only ones in New Zealand this happens to? And it is not the only time. Coronation Street is sometimes recorded for 30 minutes, rather than the hour published. At least when that happens we can go to OnDemand and sort it ourselves. But ‘no can do’ in this case because Prime doesn’t belong to that club. So what else can we do?
