Paeroa’s an­nual fire­works dis­play cel­e­brates 30 years

The rain did not de­ter vis­i­tors en­joy­ing the an­nual Paeroa fire­works dis­play, or­gan­ised by Paeroa Lions.

From 5pm, food stalls and chil­dren’s rides were set up at the Do­main and school chil­dren per­form­ing kapa haka.

Later many walked up Prim­rose Hill to en­joy the fire­works at 8.30pm.

The event is part of a fundraiser to fin­ish the Cancer Lodge in Hamil­ton for peo­ple who are hav­ing treat­ment for cancer. Fam­ily mem­bers will also be able to stay to sup­port them.
