There was a great turnout of mem­bers on Satur­day Novem­ber 10 for Clos­ing Day and Top Cat/Top Dog fi­nal. It was a beau­ti­ful day, and with 85 in the field, the starters ef­fi­ciently sent the play­ers out to mul­ti­ple tees for a shot­gun start. The course was in su­perb con­di­tion and there were many out­stand­ing scores.

Dur­ing the sea­son, women and men who had earned the weekly Player of the Week ti­tles qual­i­fied for Top Cat and Dog fi­nals on Clos­ing Day, played with the rest of the field in a nett com­pe­ti­tion. Waihi Beach Soul Beauty Rooms spon­sored the women’s awards through­out the sea­son, and Katikati Panel­works & Car Painters spon­sored the men’s Sec­tion. In the fi­nal, Kay­lene Cro­ker with a mas­sive 58 nett won the Top Cat ti­tle, run­ner up Kay Mar­shall 67. Brian Robin­son won the Top Dog ti­tle with an im­pres­sive 63 nett, run­ner up Norm San­der­son 66.
