Waihi Leader - - News -

A school for horse riding has moved to Waihi.

EzyRider, established by Marty Duncalf, is setting up shop on 2.8 hectares on Rifle Range Rd ready for the new school term in February.

EzyRider has been going strong in Mount Maunganui for the last 15 years.

Marty is the owner/instructor with a long history of training horses, teaching people of all ages to ride horses and training up new instructors. She is a show hunter judge whose background is in Western riding (both as a judge and competitor).

Marty says she has developed training systems unique to EzyRider and aims to use local riders to train as instructors and helpers.

“I’m aiming to make horse riding fun for people and horses. Both riders and horses start at a comfortable place and move onward and upward from there.”

EzyRider caters for riders from 8 years old.

Learners, adult learners, experienced riders and western riders can join the group lessons or ride solo.

Marty also plans on building a bed and breakfast at the property soon.
