New showhome matches lifestyle in Lakeside subdivision

-

Golden Homes opens its latest showhome this Sunday, June 11 in the Lakeside development - free coffee and a treat for the kids.

Lakeside’s vision is dubbed ‘your new home town’ – which fits Golden Homes’ own philosophy for sustainability and lifestyle in a semi-rural area around half an hour from either Hamilton or South Auckland. Master-planned by Winton, the development project is being run by Kainga Ora – Homes and Communities. Lakeside embraces 75 hectares of reserve and wetlands; six kilometres of walking and cycle trails, plus serene views of Lake Waikare. Planned over eight years, Lakeside will eventually have around 1650 new homes, within a smalltown vibe.

Golden Homes will contribute its own personality with a range of house and land packages – introduced with this stylish new showhome. Its position at 8 Crake Street is surrounded by rolling hills and stunning views to Lake Waikare; contemporary lines in a home that matches Lakeside’s vision for leisure and entertaining.

With four bedrooms, open-plan family living, and separate lounge for privacy, the showhome features quality fittings and classic fixtures throughout. Golden Homes prides itself on designing homes that are both affordable and desirable. Their aim is quality that meets individual investment levels. By definition, showhomes are designed to highlight the best, while giving options that suit everyone. Showcased here is a designer kitchen with stone benches, top-of-the-range Fisher and Paykel appliances, floor-to-ceiling cabinetry for clean lines and whisper-quiet drawers. Both bathrooms also feature quality finishes, while the overall tone blends neutral tones with darker, moody accents. It’s what’s not seen that puts Golden Homes apart, however. Golden Homes is one of the pioneers of steel framing in this country - its emphasis on warmer, drier homes being one of Golden Homes’ big advantages. Since opening in 1990, Golden Homes has used steel framing for over a decade – recognising its benefits of durability, strength and sustainability. This

New Zealand-made steel framing comes with a 50-year durability statement on the framing issued by New Zealand Steel. Armed with this belief and a vision of

‘better homes build healthier communities’ Golden Homes will be a big contributor to Lakeside. With 30 sites in hand at this stage, sizes range from 271sqm to 626sqm. Plans include a good mix of two, three and four-bedroom homes – ranging from 130sqm to 200sqm. These are designed across the board – from first home buyers, families looking for a quieter lifestyle away from the city, to downsizers and retirees.

Lakeside is growing – housing, walking and cycling paths already in place between the subdivision and Te Kauwhata township. Construction of the neighbourhood centre is now complete – a boutique village planned with a café, superette, office space, playground and childcare centre and more on the way.

Golden Home’s new showhome is an invitation to a bright future in the heart of a golden triangle between Hamilton, Pokeno, Pukekohe and Auckland.
