N300 Plug-in Wi-fi Range Extender (Belkin) Reviewed by Chris Gardner Getting good wi-fi coverage throughout the house can be problematic if you live in a long, thin property and your wi-fi router is at one end and you want coverage at the other. Multi-storey buildings have the same sort of problems. Belkin’s solution is the N300 Plug-in Wi-fi Range Extender. It plugs in to the power outlet in the wall and boosts the wi-fi signal the equivalence of the distance of two rooms. It’s easy to set up. You plug the extender into a power outlet at the edge of your existing wi-fi network’s range. Once on and broadcasting it sends out a signal called Belkin.setup. You connect your smartphone, tablet or computer to the network by visiting http:/Belkin.range. That’s it. My router is at one end of the house and coverage is always patchy, if not non existent, at the other end. But since plugging this little beauty in I’ve been getting a definite internet connection at amazing speeds throughout the house.
