Model T garage

A replica 1920s schoolbus in the King Country needs a garage. The Piopio area had New Zealand’s first schoolbuses, and now the Piopio College Trust and Laver Marine have converted a 1921 Model T Ford Truck into a roadworthy replica. The trust still needs to raise about $15,000 to build a bus garage and display, and has already negotiated a 30 year lease with the Piopio – Aria- Mokau Co-operating Parish for a site by the Memorial Hall in Moa Street, Piopio.
