Cosmopolitan magazine’s Australian edition folds
For many women, Cosmopolitan magazine was as much a part of their teenage years as bootcut jeans. But media firm Bauer has announced that the December issue of Australian Cosmopolitan will be its last. That is the edition sold in New Zealand. Bauer Media Australia and New Zealand CEO Paul Dykzeul said it was not an easy decision. ‘‘We are incredibly proud of the brand and the people who have been involved and represented over the last 45 years.’’ The magazine appointed a new editor in July, Lorna Gray, whom it said would oversee print and online. Bauer said then that Cosmopolitan had a monthly unique audience of more than 500,000.
