Hartley on podium

New Zealand driver Brendon Hartley has marked the start of his new Toyota deal with a podium effort in Britain. Hartley, Sebastien Buemi and Kazuki Nakajima finished second at the 4 Hours of Silverstone race which opened the 2019-20 World Endurance Championship. Toyota dominated the race with Hartley’s team-mates Mike Conway, Jose Maria Lopez and Kamui Kobayashi taking the chequered flag by just under 2sec yesterday. The two Toyotas swapped the lead multiple times with the decisive move coming when Kobayashi passed Hartley just before the halfway mark after a rain shower.
