Two of the locations visited by the South Auckland family at the centre of the latest Covid-19 community outbreak have shut their doors for deep cleans.

It was revealed on Sunday that three members of the family tested positive for the UK variant of the virus, and the Ministry of Health has revealed a list of 21 ‘‘locations of interest’’ visited by family members between February 6-13.

The list included two McDonald’s restaurants, the McDonald’s Southern Motorway and McDonald’s O¯ torohanga, visited on February 6 and 8 respectively.

‘‘As always we’ve been following Ministry of Health guidance with regards to measures required of restaurants and with staff,’’ a McDonald’s spokesperson said.

‘‘While it was not required, and in an abundance of caution, both the Drury and O¯ torohanga restaurants were being deep cleaned yesterday morning. The Drury restaurant is closed as it does not have a DriveThru, so cannot operate under alert level 3 restrictions.

‘‘The O¯ torohanga restaurant is operating under alert level 2 conditions, which include heightened hygiene, safety and distancing measures.’’

GAS Piopio was also visited by family members on February 8, between 8.30am and 9.30am.

On their Facebook page they said they were ‘‘one of the places that has been affected by the latest Covid cases’’.

‘‘Today [Monday] we will be closed for a deep clean. The Night Pay will still be available and the pumps have been cleaned and disinfected.

‘‘Be kind and stay safe.’’
