20 new cases in Waikato

There were 20 new community cases of Covid-19 in Waikato on Monday. Eight of those cases were from Te Kū iti, seven from Huntly, three from Hamilton and one each from Ngāruawāhia and Ō torohanga. This brings the total cases during the Delta outbreak in Waikato to 350. Of those, 187 are active and 163 have recovered. There were also five new cases in Bay of Plenty yesterday, and one in Taupō . There were 2106 tests taken in Waikato on Sunday and 639 people received a vaccine, the Ministry of Health’s 1pm statement said yesterday.
