It’s no secret to anyone that knows me — I love a good Christmas light display.
For the last few years I have organised the Te Awamutu Alive Christmas Tree in the Rose Gardens — which is now lit nightly for the 2018/19 festive season.
The tree is provided due to the goodwill and generosity of the public, so out of respect and for your own safety, please do not climb the tree.
We have also collated an annual Christmas Light Trail and this year invited Cambridge residents to provide details of their displays.
This published list includes addresses submitted, as well as displays we have seen or been told about.
We have also liaised with Taryn Lyford of Black Fox Creative who is also collating a Christmas Light Trail and wants to extend out of Cambridge and encompass Waipa¯ .
Taryn plans to publish a full trail, but those that register or are nominated are in to win sponsored prizes. Sponsors are also sought — details at Black Fox Creative Facebook page.
She is also organises the Cambridge Twilight Christmas Market, which is being held this Saturday at Leamington Domain from 4pm-8pm.
If you are not on the Christmas Light Trail list, but want to be, email your address to dean.tay[email protected] or text TAC Lights, plus the address, to 021 241 4568.
We will update the list, plus a map which Taryn is creating, on our Facebook page.
