Magic move to TA centre

The Splice Constructi­on Magic netball team are over the moon to be able to call the Te Awamutu Event Centre their home training base for the 2019 ANZ Premiershi­p season.

The team are already in full swing with their pre-season training as the fast approachin­g 2019 season looms.

Coach Amigene Metcalfe was delighted to be able to make use of such an awesome venue in the region.

“It is a fantastic facility that allows us to have everything in one place.

“The community and staff have been very welcoming, and we look forward to sharing our journey with the locals and showing our appreciati­on when we can,” she said.

Magic player Sam Sinclair echoed her head coach’s excitement and was thrilled to be able to get stuck into the preseason training at the complex.

“Being based out in Te Awamutu is just lovely.

“The last few weeks have flown by. I’ve been loving how our trainings are building from one into the next and getting some really good content in them,” she said.

One member of the Magic team who will feel especially at home at ASB Stadium at Te Awamutu Events Centre is our very own Ariana Cable-Dixon,

She has made quite an impression playing for the Magic over the past two seasons.

The team kick off their 2019 ANZ Premiershi­p season by hosting the opening Super Sunday on Sunday, February 24.

It will be held at Claudeland­s Arena in Hamilton.

Season membership­s are available now with tickets going on sale mid-January, get in quick.
