Slash touring here January

-

Grammy Award-winning American rock guitarist and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Slash, returns to New Zealand in January with Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators in tow and for the first time will play a show in the Bay of Plenty.

The two date tour opens at Baypark Arena on Friday, January 25 and continues to Spark Arena on Saturday, January 26.

We have two copies of his fourth and latest studio album

Living The Dream up for grabs to ready you for the live shows.

Living The Dream contains the great singles Driving Rain, Mind Your Manners and My Antidote.

Look out too for a stunner in The One You Love Is Gone.

Myles Kennedy’s soaring vocals are incredible (many campfires still reminisce of his jaw dropping rendition of Starlight at G-TARanaki in 2010) and are a match made in heaven for Slash’s inimitable guitar playing.

On touring the world again with The Conspirators, featuring singer Myles Kennedy, bassist Todd Kerns, drummer Brent Fitz and rhythm guitarist Frank Sidoris, Slash reveals “I always planned on getting back together with The Conspirators as soon as possible and continuing on with what we started. As much as I enjoy the writing and recording process, when I’m creating music it’s always with the intent that it should be played in front of an audience . . .

“That’s what I love the most,” Slash enthuses.

And truer words were never spoken: it’s in performance mode that Slash truly shines. He deals nonstop, electrifying riffs and guitar solos that exhilarate even those seated way back in the nosebleed section.

“Making records and touring and getting up on stage every day and playing music with these guys, that is the essence of living the dream” says Slash. ‘nuff said!
