Police across Waipa¯ District attended the following matters last week

Police attended 12 family harm-related incidents.

Police assisted ambulance with a male who fell from a rope swing and broke his leg.

A male was assaulted near Arnold St, he was king hit from behind.

Police attended a one vehicle crash on Harbutt St, there were no injuries.

A male was dealt with for driving while disqualifi­ed.

Arrests: Male arrested for assaulting a female. Male processed for driving. Under 20-year-old processed for drink driving. TE AWAMUTU STATION

Police attended 13 family harm-related incidents.

Children were reported to be going down stormwater drains in Anchor Park. A male was seen riding a child size quad bike with a twoyear-old sitting on the front at Anchor Park. Police attended a suspicious car fire on Aotearoa Rd and are following this up. An intoxicate­d man was found unconsciou­s in a bush outside a local licensed premises, ambulance attended. Police dealt with an intoxicate­d male who ended up at the wrong address.

Arrest: Male arrested after a pursuit around town, the male decamped from their vehicle and was tracked by a police dog. Male arrested for drink driving. Male arrested for drink driving and driving while disqualifi­ed. Male arrested on five warrants for arrest.

Burglaries: One person was seen smashing the Chatsfield Dairy’s CCTV cameras, two people later returned and attempted to break in. Police have footage of the offenders. A property on Te Rahu Rd was broken into, the offender entered the property through the kitchen window. Three known youths entered the premises of Te Awamutu Intermedia­te and damaged several buildings. A chilly bin was stolen from a Fairview Rd property. A garage on Chatsfield Dr was broken into and the offenders took a handbag and documents from a car. A property on Piquet Hill Rd was broken into. A children’s bike was stolen from a Herbert St property. A property on Arapuni Rd was broken into and had their powerlines cut. A caravan on Cameron Ave was broken into and a small amount of money was taken. Two houses, next door to each other, on Turere Lane were broken into and food and alcohol was taken from one of the properties. A Pakura St property was broken into. Keys were stolen from a Cambridge Rd property.

Theft: A vehicle on Scott Crescent was stolen and later found at a property on Goodfellow St, a male has been charged in relation. A Holden Commodore, number plate CYU503, was stolen from a Goodfellow St property. A CCTV camera was stolen from Paterangi School.

Shopliftin­g: A male was caught on CCTV shopliftin­g from The Warehouse.
