$1m boost for Kiribati

The Government has announced a support package for Kiribati, which is struggling with the effects of climate change. Foreign Minister Winston Peters met the president in Kiribati yesterday. Peters has announced the Government will help the country’s institute of technology and its nursing programme, but didn’t put a monetary figure on it. He’s also promised $1 million towards a sanitation system.
