Missy sings up a Storm in new track
Dunedin-born producer Missy has emerged from behind the desk to release a new song.
The singer, aka Abigail Knudson, says the track Storm is about the struggle for self-love and acceptance, and the effects that has on the types of relationships and partners you are drawn to.
She set out to represent characters who were ultimately divided and individual, who gradually come to one another.
“I decided to avoid depicting the main toxic relationship discussed in the song, and instead focus on the internal struggle.”
The video for Storm features her sisters Calla Knudson-Hollebon and Ariana Knudson-Hollebon, as well as Bebe James, in choreographing a routine filmed by Jamie Prout.

Electronic dance pop act Jon Lemmon says inspiration for his new single Good Reasons came while he was cleaning his flat’s bathroom.
“I had my cleaning gloves on and all, and when I started cleaning it sparked this inspiration and the melodies started coming. I had to rush to my bedroom and record immediately.”
The California-born Wellingtonian said the song was written about that moment when you hit rock bottom, then realise you have to make some changes.
“And what follows is a sense of possibility that comes when you finally make yourself vulnerable to the world and the people around you,” Lemmon said.
“I think that’s such powerful opportunity for transformation, and one we’re facing collectively as a human species right now.”
