TODAY’S THOUGHT

-

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

— Hebrews 10:24-25

One of the few constants in my life as I’ve lived and travelled in various places in the world has been finding a community of people with whom I could grow in my faith.

Even as a young child, when I transferred into a new primary school, my mother and I met the people who would become my godparents, and role models in faith and social justice. Since then, I’ve met countless individuals who have helped me in my walk in my faith. They have helped guide me to learn more about Christianity, shown me ways to incorporate the good parts of my faith into my day to day life, and given me hope when I am struggling.

All of the times I’ve spent with these people, whether through brief encounters at church or long talks from years of friendship, have blessed me and shown me how God loves me and is very real in my life.
