Paying by cheque

Council cheque use ends this Friday

This Friday, 14 May 2021 is the last day you'll be able to pay for Whanganui District Council services by cheque. The council's bank, ANZ, is stopping the use of cheques at the end of this month, which means the council will no longer be able to accept this form of payment after 14 May 2021. Other ways to pay for council services include online via the council's website, direct debit, internet banking, credit card, cash and eftpos.
