Victory Shed demolition

Take care around Tod / Wharf streets

Demolition of the Victory Shed is underway at the Whanganui wharves as part of the revitalisation of Whanganui’s port. This work will be carried out from Monday to Saturday over a five-week period (until mid-December 2021). We expect there will be additional heavy truck movements during this time in both Tod Street and Wharf Street, Castlecliff.

We ask members of the public to avoid using Tod Street during this time. Extreme caution should be be taken when accessing Wharf Street. If you have any concerns, please call Whanganui District Council on 06 349 0001.
