Durie Hill lookout concept

Whanganui District Council is asking for community feedback on the concept plan for improvements to the Durie Hill lookout and surrounding area.

A concept plan for the lookout and surrounding area has been developed following a $100,000 donation from Mars Petcare earlier this year towards the upgrade. An additional funding amount of $80,000 has been set aside from year two of the council’s Long-Term Plan 2021-2031 to support the project. Construction work on the lookout is expected to start in July 2022.
