Yvonne’s pick . . .

Crafted by ex-pat Brits and food technologists Steve Pellet and Bridget Ennals from their tiny vineyard situated at the foot of Mount Tapuaeo-uenuku, the Stanley Estates Noble Harvest Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2014, $28, is quite the most insanely delicious drop to enjoy with toffee oranges and kiwifruit. The vineyard is named after “Stanley”, their trusty Land Rover and it’s a workhorse piece of dirt that produces sauvignon blanc that is versatile enough to both snappy-dry and sexy-sweet styles. This is in the latter camp. Maturing magically after 5 years in the bottle, it’s curvaceous, honeyed, tropical and tantalising, decadent and plush; it’s a must-sip. stanleyestates.co.nz
