Yvonne’s pick . . .
The Villa Cordevigo Rosso Veronese 2010 ($69) is a blend of corvina, cabernet sauvignon and merlot grown in the Cavaion Veronese, on the morainic hills of the hinterland of Lake Garda. And if that wasn’t a mouthful in itself, try sipping this wine. Supercomplex and heaving with concentrated dark berries, cocoa, vanilla and leathery loveliness, it’s a pricey, but seriously nicey Italian red from Verona that soothes the throat, clears the nose and brings the boys to the yard with bolognaise. stvincentscave.co.nz
