One of the many tantalising events taking place as part of Eat Drink Love Ponsonby is Mezcal on the Riviera. To be clear, it’s not an evening downing tequila’s smoky cousin mezcal but you will be taking a dining adventure through Mexico and over to the Mediterranean. Your journey starts at Lime Bar with welcome drinks, on to Ponsonby Road Bistro for a tequila-marinated yellowfin tuna entree, before enjoying a banquet-style main event at Saan and finishing with dessert at Orphan’s Kitchen. Wine matches for the evening are from France, Italy and Central Otago. Why limit yourself to one restaurant a night? Progressive dinners are where it’s at.
