EID AT EDEN PARK

Come one, come all and celebrate New Zealand Eid Day at Eden

Park. Christmas events aren’t just for Christians and this Eid al Adha celebration isn’t just for Muslims. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the games, food stalls (featuring cuisines from the 35 ethnicities that make up the Muslim community), educational displays, and a collection of stage shows presenting diverse cultural performances, busker acts and guest speakers for young and old. Also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, Eid al Adha is the second of the two main Islamic holidays and if you’re not familiar with it, this is the perfect way to learn more about the culture and religion of your Muslim brothers and sisters. The organisers of the event want to celebrate diversity, unity, our similarities and our differences.
