PLAN AHEAD: WAIHEKE WINE AND FOOD

With winter on its way, the Waiheke Wine and Food Festival might be your last chance to soak up all the island has to offer before the colder months have us all curling up with Netflix, a hottie and some chocolate, refusing to leave the house. It’s three days of wine, food, live music and art exhibitions across the island. For the full experience, you can purchase a Festival Passport (R18), which gives you access to vineyard experiences like food pairings and tastings at each of the participating vineyards, as well a return ferry ticket and rides on the hop-on-andoff festival shuttles. Book your accommodation quickly because Waiheke is going to be absolutely buzzing and bursting at the seams.
