Naming the father

I felt disgust at the way Bill English said he was quite happy for the policy reducing the benefit for solo mums who will not, or cannot, name the father of their child, while Nathan Guy smirked in the background. A $ 30 dollar reduction in one’s benefit is a big deal, more so for solo mums. I don’t know how he can live with himself. I will be voting with my feet. As Bill said, “With National, people know what sort of government it would be.” Negativity and complacency about our rivers and water quality. The only trickle down from National is from cows.
