GLORIOUS GARDENS

When the Ellerslie Flower Show moved to Christchurch, Auckland’s flower and garden community were left high and dry, wilting and fruitless … until now. This week is the inaugural New Zealand Flower & Garden Show, a five- day event, ending tomorrow, that showcases all manner of greenery from urban gardens, challenging landscapes, bee- friendly flowerbeds to flourishing fruit and vegetable plots. Earlier in the week prizes were awarded in various categories with Best in Show going to The Beekeepers Hobbit Hole, Hobbiton.

Today and tomorrow, The Trusts Arena. Adults $ 30, Seniors $ 28, children 12 and under free.
