HOMES IN THE HAIGHT
Haight-Ashbury became a mecca for young American hippies in the late
60s, drawn by counterculture ideals, music and drugs. Among the thousands who came to ‘drop in and drop out’ were many of the era’s top musicians. Today, ‘flower power’ walking tours take in the former homes of leading scensters such as Janis Joplin, Graham Nash, Jefferson Airplane and The Grateful Dead.
