Clock watcher

Weekend Herald - - Viewpoints -

Driving home last night along Tamaki Drive at around 5.30pm I was trying to indicate to the car in front of me by flashing my lights, to put his lights on. All traffic had theirs on. At an appropriate point he stopped, got out of the car to yell at me, “I don’t have to put my lights on until after 6 o’clock”, got back in the car and carried on, still without lights. Vehicles coming towards him were also flashing their lights. He, of course, was okay as he could see everyone else.
