Hus­band, wife test over limit

Po­lice are stunned that a woman drove to col­lect her hus­band from a check­point af­ter he al­legedly tested above the le­gal limit, and was then found to have an even higher read­ing her­self. The woman, 55, ar­rived at the Para­pa­raumu check­point to pick up her 54-year-old part­ner. She was tested and al­legedly found to have an even higher breath al­co­hol read­ing. In­spec­tor Jan Craig said it was be­yond be­lief some­one would turn up to a check­point to pick up an­other drink driver when they had been drink­ing them­selves.
