EAT

While Asia may be a long way to travel for dinner,

iVillage brings the tastes of India to you at their Victoria Park restaurant. Decked out with authentic Indian décor and dishes to match, we guarantee that between the rich tandooris, masala curries and spicy kebabs, you’ll forget you’re in New Zealand at all.

For a lazy brunch or long lunch, newcomer Rude Boy

Deli and Eatery is a must try. Select a sweet treat to accompany a morning coffee or settle in with a menu that offers classic brunch fare with a modern twist. For a late night bite drop in on Thursdays, Friday’s and Saturdays to check out their hearty dinner menu. The Oakroom is the ideal spot for a big group with a big appetite. Order a round of drinks to go with a selection of their mouthwatering sharing plates like pork ribs, crumbed mushrooms and tender meatballs. For a little more, indulge in their gourmet pizza which takes the humble dish to the next level with toppings like lamb mince, gorgonzola cheese and oak smoked fish.

DRINK

Looking to unwind with a wine? La Zeppa has you covered. The chic bar and eatery’s drinks menu is full to the brim with crisp whites, soft reds, fancy cocktails and more to accompany their Mediterranean-inspired tapas. So, grab a few friends and set yourselves up at their funky lantern-lit patio or cuddle up close to the large open fireplace.

If gourmet cocktails, Asian-influenced food and stunning views sound like a bit of you, head on down to Tom Tom Bar and Eatery. Treat yourself to one of their delicious signature cocktails or pick one of their shared drinks as you take in the view from their sneaky rooftop deck.

With a relaxed dining menu, on-site boutique brewery, large outdoor deck and a dance floor that is always packed, it’s no surprise that Sweat Shop is a favourite amongst working Aucklanders. Located on the corner of Sale Street, this well-loved spot is perfect for an after-work drink or a late night boogie.

PLAY

Decked out with ramps, bowls and basketball courts, Victoria Park’s Skate Park and Sports ground is the perfect spot to practice your kick-flips or free-throws. Skating days behind you? Get a sweat on at a KCore Pilates class in their Victoria Park studio. With a timetable full of 45-minute sessions, the beautifullysculpted trainers will whip you into shape with classes that target strength, flexibility, balance and overall fitness.
