Battery explodes in face

A man has been taken to Auckland City Hospital with multiple burns to his body after a battery explosion. The Auckland Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called to Great Barrier Island at 9.15am yesterday to help a man whose truck battery blew up in his face. The man, from Katherine Bay, suffered multiple burns to his body.
