EROAD is pleased to announce the appointmen­t of Genevieve Tearle to the role of chief marketing officer. Genevieve brings to the role experience gained working across Europe, Asia, and Americas. Her experience covers consumer durables, consumer electronic­s, lighting and FMCG industries, in both B2C and B2B environmen­ts. She has held key roles in New Zealand and European corporates and understand­s the drivers for commercial success.

Technology incubator Astrolab has appointed Mario Vulinovich to the position of venture partner. Mario has sat on numerous boards and held a number of senior positions with Shell including regional GM and country chairman. An Angel investor for 10 years and experience working with technology companies, Mario’s commercial acumen further strengthen Astrolab’s management team and ability to successful­ly seed and globally commercial­ise deep-tech intellectu­al property.

Accounting, Audit and business advisory firm Staples Rodway is pleased to announce the appointmen­t of David Searle as its new national chair. Mr Searle, who is Staples Rodway Auckland’s managing director, has worked in the firm’s Auckland office since 1992, joining the national board in 2014. Active in training and guiding members of the accounting profession, he has also served as New Zealand divisional president of CPA Australia and chair of the Australasi­an CA Training Group.

Darryn Melrose, former chief executive of Media Design School, is the new CEO of the country’s leading private art and design school, Whitecliff­e College. The College, now owned by Asia Pacific Education Group (APEDU), is on an exciting growth trajectory, with NZ Fashion Tech and Computer Power Plus also now part of its portfolio.
