The art of summer

Gallery and selected guest artists Emma Fitts, Gavin Hurley, Stanley Palmer and Erica Van Zon are together for Summer, an evolving group exhibition. Fitts shows her recent series of photographic works made while artist-in-residence at McCahon House in Titirangi, which combine the site of the house itself and ideas from a group of remarkable historical figures: writer Anni Albers, interior designer Eileen Gray and artist Romaine Brooks. Gradually new ideas about portraiture and decoration emerge. Summer, Melanie Roger Gallery, Tuesday, December 4 until Saturday, December 22.
