Dad crushed to death

A father of two young children died yesterday when he was crushed in a crane accident at Wiri. The worker, an engineer believed to be in his 40s, was trapped between a crane and another piece of equipment at Auckland Cranes. Company director Tony Gibson said: “Our thoughts are with the deceased and his family at this time and we have support here for our staff. Our common goal is to understand what happened and make sure this type of tragedy never happens again.”
