Legalise cannabis and kratom. Early release programme for those convicted of procession only. Put some of the money that is saved into rehab programmes that actually work. No need to build additional prisons and the people that need help get real help.

More planning is required to cover all the bases, I feel the proposal has merit, however more research on legislation versus rehabilitation is needed as well as the legal logistics around commercial driving etc. Harsh words Mr Hosking.

Well if alcohol is legal and bad for you, then why not legalise cannabis too? And it's a choice thing really, you don’t have to smoke it if you don’t want to.

Legal cannabis does not destroy families, it regulates it and the taxes from it can go towards harm reduction. Its pros outweigh the cons, and most of the cons come from abuse of cannabiswhich like anything if you abuse it you will get negative side effects.
