New Zealand’s largest licensed medicinal cannabis company, Helius Therapeutics, has appointed Dr Rick Acland to its board as an independent director and senior adviser. Dr Acland AFRM (RACP) is one of New Zealand’s leading pain specialists, who has been a longtime consultant at both Burwood Hospital and the Auckland Spinal Rehabilitation Unit. His career has spanned practice in anesthesia, pain neuromodulation, and rehabilitation. He has conducted many research projects and published widely.
Fidelity Life, New Zealand’s largest locally owned and operated life insurer and ANZIIF Life Insurance Company of the Year, has appointed Pete Doherty as its new chief customer officer (CCO).
