Trio of Waiheke earners up for grabs
Three business opportunities on Waiheke Island – The Courtyard Bar & Restaurant, Too Fat Buns and My Waiheke- are for sale.
ABC Buiness broker Lindsey Holcombe, who is marketing the businesses, says they represent an opportunity to secure a revenue stream in a popular location.
Holcombe says: “The Courtyard Bar & Restaurant, in Oneroa, is a unique space with a friendly inviting vibe. Incorporating a modern kitchen with a large walk-in chiller, there’s ample space for a creative chef. The dcor and menu have a Mediterranean influence and there’s perfect indoor-outdoor flow with an intimate dining room, a sunny courtyard area, and a separate cocktail cabana for extended drinks service in the busy months. There’s still plenty of growth for a new owner with options to open for breakfast and extend trading to seven days.”
Profits for the business in 2019 were over $180,000, with rent at only 7 percent of sales.
Holcombe says the neighbouring takeaway business Too Fat Buns serves burgers and sides and comes with a purpose-built kitchen. It was established three years ago and has annual sales of more than $570,000 and profits of around $150,000.
The third business Holcombe is marketing, My Waiheke, is an events company launched in 2010.
She says the business would offer a great lifestyle for new owners. “The business is seasonal, focused over November until April. The current owners have built this amazing business over the past 10 years and their high standards, professionalism, attention to detail and commitment have seen this business grow into the island’s leading event team.
