With low interest rates continuing to reduce the Bonus Bonds prize pool, a decision has been made to close the scheme. It’s intended that the scheme will start winding up no later than the end of October 2020. If you’re a Bonus Bonds investor, you can: 1. Redeem your Bonus Bonds before the intended wind up commences; or 2. Stay in the scheme and be entitled to a share of the remaining reserves, after expenses, when the scheme is wound up. If you choose to stay during the wind up phase, your investments may be locked in for up to 12 months. How can you redeem your Bonus Bonds? • If you’re registered for MyBonusBonds, you can redeem online. Your request will be processed within two business days. • If you’re an ANZ customer and don’t have MyBonusBonds access, you can register for MyBonusBonds so you can redeem your Bonus Bonds online when you’re ready. Visit and register, or call us on bonusbonds. co. nz 0800 266 374. • For non- ANZ customers who don’t have MyBonusBonds access, you can visit your nearest ANZ branch. Please bring personal identification ( for example, a passport, or both a driver licence and birth certificate), proof of address and proof of bondholding if you have it, when visiting a branch. We aim to process all valid redemption requests within 28 business days after we receive them. However, please note that due to the high volume of redemption requests we’re likely to be processing, it may in some cases take a little longer than this.
