Gisborne restaurant calling

-

An opportunity waits to operate a restaurant in Taira¯whiti Gisborne city.

Sunshine Cuisine Ltd operates the catering contract at this wellestablished restaurant based in the Gisborne Tatapouri Sports Fishing Club in Shed 2, on the city’s Esplanade.

This is the second largest fishing club in New Zealand with over 5000 members.

The club is a hive of activity yearround, but particularly over the summer months when regular competitions see a flurry of boats of all sizes bringing in fish to weigh.

As they say, “It’s a treat to watch as a record-breaking fish is hoisted up on the scales.”

The club offers a relaxing atmosphere with a popular restaurant, panoramic views of the inner harbour and surrounding area, large-screen TVs, bar facilities, gaming and TAB Pod, as well as great and friendly camaraderie.

Taira¯whiti Gisborne, with its significant historical landmarks and stunning natural wonders, is attractive to both the locals and New Zealand tourists.

This enables restaurants such as Tatapouri to be in demand to a wide variety of customers. The younger guests find the large live fish tank with marine life caught out in the bay a great hit.

This club welcomes any member of an affiliated club with reciprocity, and naturally, members are able to bring the same guest in a maximum of three times in any year.

All this activity within the fishing club helps to ensure a good demand for the restaurant’s services.

Sunshine Cuisine caters to the food requirements of the restaurant only, while the sporting club hosts the two bar facilities – the main bar and the shark bar.

The restaurant also offers a buffet menu for functions with over 50 people.

The restaurant operates seven days a week with a lunch setting from 12pm to 2pm and then from 5pm onwards.

Supporting Darrel Gregory in the Tatapouri Restaurant are full-time staff. Two are qualified chefs along with a part-time team.

Gregory has operated this restaurant since 2002 and now wishes to move on to other opportunities.

Tatapouri Restaurant with its excellent reputation, professional staff and captive customer base, offers an opportunity for a new owner in sunny Gisborne.

Link Business Brokers is expecting a lot of inquiries on this catering contract as it is sharply priced to sell. Contact: Neil Jones, Link Business Brokers, 021 764 446
