LUXURY SUV with a party in the back
New accessory allows Roll-Royce owners to be the perfect hosts
What do you get the SUV owner with everything (the Rolls-Royce Cullinan owner, in other words)? Perhaps a neat little accessory such as the new Hosting Service, a package that fits into a custom drawer in the rear of the vehicle.
The Hosting Service “offers a range of accoutrements to create the perfect beverage while enjoying the world’s most breathtaking vistas,” says the company.
Catering for up to eight, it comes complete with glassware and the correct (very correct we would imagine) utensils for “creating a fresh cocktail or a classic gin and tonic for passengers”. The highball glasses carry R-R monograms and the wooden chopping boards are made from American walnut. Space is also provided for “light snacks”. Probably something involving cucumber.
The Hosting Service is a permanent accessory package from R-R, but the same space is completely customisable when specified as the Recreation Module. The drawer is motorised and provides 48 litres of space that can be configured for specific applications: fishing, snowboarding, photography . . . you name it. Indeed, when R-R commissioned photographer Mark Riccioni to photograph the Back Badge Cullinan in Los Angeles by night, it kitted out a Recreation Module to accommodate his DJI Mavic drone, Apple iPad Pro and MacBook Pro, Sennheiser PXC550 headphones, Persol PO3225-S sunglasses (probably didn’t need those at night, although it was LA) and some Supreme clothing.
But why stop at one Module? R-R says the idea is that customers can create several and simply swap them around according to wants and needs. And that’s how the other half works and plays.
