Continuing to breathe new life into the lifestyle magazine market, Viva Magazine is a premium gloss quarterly and off-shoot of the New Zealand Herald’s highly respected weekly Viva magazine. Since launching a year ago, it has carved out a reputation for being thoughtprovoking and bold in its design, content and approach to fashion.

This issue explores the revival of the 80s Club Kid scene and its crucial role in today’s creative era, and how surrealism is impacting on current fashion trends.
“There is a sense right now, in this pandemic-riddled world, that people are wanting to dress up and, in some instances, use fashion as a way of escaping reality,” says editor Amanda Linnell. “It makes for a very expressive time for fashion and Volume Four really demonstrates how that’s possible — from mixing designer labels with op-shop finds to creative hair and makeup trends.”
